Air transported shipments can be categorized into two types based on the definitions described below.

Shipments V1 (MELI ON)

This model represents the air shipments operated by airlines that are linked to a Mercado Libre shipment and are responsible for the middle-mile segment.

The flow covers events such as the handover of the HU to the airline at the origin airport, preparation and loading the packages to the aircraft, takeoff, connections when applicable, reasons for flight rescheduling, arrival and retrieval at the destination airport, and it ends with delivering the shipments to a MELI handler at the destination airport to continue with the last-mile segment. This last segment can be performed by a carrier or by Melinet.

Flight

This diagram covers the entire process from loading the packages onto the aircraft to its arrival at the destination airport.

Destination Airport

This diagram corresponds to the operation within the destination airport, once the packages have arrived.

Shipments V2 (MELI OFF)

This model represents the shipments that are assigned to the capacity-selling process: MELI uses available space on flights to transport cargo that is not tied to its own order.

The goal is to monetize idle capacity with a simplified operational flow and fewer mandatory events, focusing on events such as the airline’s acceptance of the package at the origin airport, aircraft takeoff and landing, issuance of a complementary CTe for reconciliation, and delivery of the package at the destination airport.

For this type of transport, the integration and tracking teams use the Shipment V2.

AL-0261	Package loaded onto airplane	The package was loaded onto the airplane.
AL-0262	Unloaded from airplane	The package was unloaded from the airplane.
AL-0277	Airplane started to move on runway	The airplane started the pushback.
AL-0278	Airplane departure	The airplane took off and is on its way.
AL-0279	Airplane landed	The airplane landed at the destination airport.
AL-0280	Airplane arrived at destination	Airplane engines off.
AL-0401	Delivered to handler at the airport	Package delivered to the destination airport operation.
AP-0201	Received by handler	The package is at the disposal of the airport operation.
AP-0234	Rejected. Not transportable by aircraft	The package cannot be shipped on the aircraft for safety reasons and will be transferred by land.
AP-0235	Lack of capacity: not transportable by aircraft	The package cannot be shipped on the aircraft due to capacity issues and will be transferred by land.
AP-0243	Documentation issue	Documentation problem preventing the package from proceeding on its way.
AP-0245	Held for inspection	The inspection authority holds the package for inspection. Example: smuggling inspection.
AP-0248	Missing tax/fee payment	Held due to lack of payment of some tax/fee for the package to continue its journey.
AP-0291	Rescheduled because shipment arrived after the expected time	The package arrived after the agreed time and could not be shipped on the planned flight.
AP-0293	Rescheduled due to lack of capacity	The package will be delayed and rescheduled on another flight due to lack of aircraft capacity.
AP-0295	Rescheduled for delayed flight	The package is delayed due to flight problems, such as weather issues.
AP-0401	Delivered	When received at the origin airport, the package is considered handed over to the airline responsible for transport; when received at the destination airport, it is considered handed over to the party responsible for last mile step.
0607	Retained	Retained by a fiscal entity due to lack of documentation.	Returns money to the buyer and case is reviewed with the seller.
0617	Stolen		Returns money to the buyer and pays insurance to the seller.
0619	Total damage		Returns money to the buyer and pays insurance to the seller.
0623	Lost		Returns money to the buyer and pays insurance to the seller.
0631	Confiscated	Confiscated by airport security.	Returns money to the buyer.

Note:

Status codes shown in bold correspond to final notifications. Any event received after one of these will be disregarded. Please ensure the shipment will not receive any subsequent events after it has been finalized because the final notifications have financial triggers.
If the carrier has an internal status that does not correspond to any standard Mercado Envios notification, it must be mapped to the generic 9999 notification. This notification is informational only and does not impact the shipment status.
